Cawston Learning Resource Centre is the modern library facility of the Centre for Global Leadership Development. The SABC library was relocated to this present very spacious and fully equipped computerised modern facility in the year 2004. Named in honour of Rev. Alfred Cawston, the founding principal of the Southern Asia Bible Institute, it facilitates the learning of students of all the different schools of CGLD.
Originally established in the year 1951 to support the G.Th. program of the Southern Asia Bible Institute, today it has grown step by step to a Learning Resource Centre with over 45,000 volumes of books, bound periodicals, digital as well as media resources. It also houses an archive that specialises in the regional pentecostal resources.
Our library is classified under the Dewey Decimal Classification, with card files for authors, subjects and titles. The collection is also computerised using Alice Library Automation System and is currently being organised using the KOHA Library Automation System. CLRC is open from 9.00 A.M to 9.30 P.M.
CLRC supports the teaching-learning activities of our faculty and students of all the schools of CGLD: Southern Asia Bible College, Global School of Counselling, and Global School of Open Learning and Global School of Media, Arts and Communications. CLRC is also open for external users who come from other theological institutions and churches.
